Sommaire de l'article

A study concerning pesticide residues in 187 samples of strawberries is reported. It is based on chemical data obtained by the A.R.P.A. Department of Turin. Over 25,000 verifications, regarding more than 130 different analytes, have been performed. The whole work allowed to find 39 different pesticides and 338 positive results (defined as analyte concentration greater than or equal to 0.01 mg/kg). Measurements have been confirmed by GUMS or HPLC/DAD. Samples have been collected in the most important market of fruits and vegetables existing in Piedmont. Regular and irregular samples have been classified according to the Italian and, in most cases, also to the Europen regulation. The study shows the high number of irregular samples (13.9%). Another relevant aspect concerns the number of different pesticides (up to 8 in a single sample).
