Providing scientific information on food, health, food safety, and sustainability and formulate scientific recommendations.

Through its Scientific Council and panel of experts, Aprifel gathers the opinions of all to carry out background work and to issue recommendations and notes based on consensual scientific knowledge.

These tools are intended for fruit and vegetable professionals and underpin all Aprifel’s actions.

Building bridges between the fruit and vegetable sector and consumer representatives.

Aprifel uses its Consumer Council to build bridges between professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector and civil society. It is a means for Aprifel to ensure that everyone’s expectations and concerns are heard.

Consumers remain informed of sector trends, while professionals can answer their questions and better understand their expectations.

One of Aprifel’s main missions consists in permanently monitoring scientific news on fruit and vegetables.

It uses this information to maintain a database listing all the international scientific research on food, health, and in particular fruits and vegetables.

Providing up-to-date nutritional data on fruits and vegetables.

To be able to supply factual and up-to-date information on the benefits of a healthy and varied diet rich in fruit and vegetables, Aprifel has created a hundred or so freely available nutritional sheets providing information on these foods (nutritional composition, characteristics, nutritional and health claims, etc.).

This work ties in with a partnership set up with ANSES to conduct nutritional analyses in 2017–2018.
