Sommaire de l'article

Simple decontamination processes like washing and peeling dislodged the residues of mancozeb (Dithane M-45) in apple fruits to the extent of 97%. Washing coupled with peeling gave more relief from mancozeb residues than washing or peeling alone. Among apple processed products, although juice did contain mancozeb residues (1.4 mg/kg CS, equivalent), the level was far below the tolerance limit (3 mg/kg CS2 equivalent). Jam and wine were free from residues of this pesticide. Maximum resdues were found in the apple pomace (5-9 mg/kg CS2).
